Web8 is a no-code website builder for designers, developers, marketers, and startups. You can build websites, customize them to fit your needs, and export the code when you are ready to host it.
Who is Web8 for?
Web8 is for people who know what they want to build and want control over how it looks and works.
Designers can design websites visually and export the code. Developers can build websites for clients without manually turning Figma designs into code. Marketers can quickly create landing pages, while startups can build and launch their websites quickly.
It is also for people who are not looking for AI to build everything for them. If you want to avoid AI slop, have a clear idea of what you want to build, and prefer to build it yourself, Web8 is for you.
What can I build with Web8?
You can build landing pages, marketing websites, portfolios, business websites, product pages, and other one-page websites with Web8.
The Free version currently supports one page per website. You can build, export, and delete a website, then start a new one. There is no limit on how many websites you can build and export.
Can I create multiple pages with Web8?
Not yet. The current version of Web8 supports one page per website.
You can still build and export as many one-page websites as you want. After exporting a website, you can delete it and start building another one.
Can I create dynamic websites with Web8?
Not yet. The current version of Web8 is focused on building static websites.
Dynamic website support is planned for a future version of Web8.
Professional developers who are building more dynamic websites can still use Web8 to turn their designs into front-end code and continue building the website from there.
Can I host my website anywhere?
Yes. Web8 does not provide hosting or require you to use a specific hosting provider. You can export your website and host it with any hosting provider you choose.
The exported files include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and your website assets such as images and videos.
How is Web8 different from other website builders?
Web8 gives you more control over how you build and use your website.
Unlike other website builders, you can build your website yourself instead of depending on AI to generate everything for you. You can make your own design decisions, customize the website, and export the final files.
You are not required to use a specific platform, CMS, or hosting service. You can take your website with you and host it with any hosting provider you choose.
This means you are not locked into Web8 or a specific platform to keep your website online.
Why use Web8 instead of an AI website builder?
AI website builders can be useful when you want to quickly generate a website from a prompt. But when you already know what you want to build, working with AI can sometimes mean endless iterations, explaining the same thing again and again, and trying different prompts to get the result you want.
AI can also make design decisions you did not ask for, change things that were already working, or give you a result that looks good but does not match your idea. This can lead to a lot of hit and miss.
With Web8, you build the website yourself and have direct control over the design and the final result. You do not need to keep explaining your idea to AI. You can make the changes yourself and see the result as you build.
Web8 is for people who know what they want to build.
Do I need coding experience to use Web8?
No. You do not need coding experience to build a website with Web8.
You can create and customize your website using the builder without writing code. However, coding knowledge can be useful if you want to add custom code or make more advanced changes.
Web8 is built for both people who know how to code and people who prefer to build without writing code.
Where is my website data stored?
With the Free version, your website data is saved in your browser's local storage. This means the data stays on your device and is not stored on Web8's servers.
The Pro version, which is coming in a future version, will use cloud storage. This will let you keep multiple projects and access your projects from anywhere.
Can I use Web8 without an account?
Yes. The Free version does not require an account. You can start building right away without signing up or creating an account.
